Walter Arthur Lausman's Obituary
Walter Arthur Lausman, age 90 passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at the Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Florida. Walter was born in St. Joseph, Michigan and moved to the Lady Lake area in 1990 from Bradenton, Florida. He was a World War II veteran of the Army Air Corps. After his military service he went on to have two careers, the first he spent over 30 years as an Electrician and then became a master clock maker. His skill as a clock maker was so renowned that he was propositioned to work for the Smithsonian Museum in Washington, D.C. He was pre-deceased by his wife of 67 years Betty Jayne, and leaves to carry on his memory a Son – Walter Edward (Terry) Lausman of East Lake Weir, Florida; Daughters – Barbara (Thomas) Collins of Port Charlotte; Susan (David) Wyland of Naples; and Janeen (Jaime) Cabal of Bradenton; Sisters – Lorraine Shafer and Darlene Pullins both of Benton Harbor, MI; and 4 grandchildren.
Graveside services will take place 1:00 P. M. Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens – 1901 County Road 25-A, Leesburg, Florida. All arrangements are under the careful direction of Page-Theus Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Leesburg, Florida.
