Shirley C. Hoskins' Obituary
Shirley C. Hoskins, 87, Leesburg, Florida went to be with the Lord on December 17, 2017
at Leesburg Regional Medical Center, Leesburg, Florida. Shirley was born on October 11,
1930 in Cincinnati, Ohio to her parents Daniel J. Brackett and Jennie Mabel (Roberts)
Brackett. She had worked earlier in her life as an Administrative Assistant for Repco Inc. in
Orlando, Florida and retired after the death of her beloved daughter. She and her husband
moved back to Leesburg, Florida 11 years ago from Nashville, Tennessee. She was a
devoted member to First Baptist Church of Leesburg, Florida. She was active in her
church class called “BYKOTA” and enjoyed that time with them. She is survived by her
loving husband of 67 years: Arnold W. Hoskins of Leesburg, FL; a son: Doug (Bonnie)
Hoskins of Nashville, TN; a daughter: Tarrie Van Horn of Gainesville, FL; a brother: Dick
Brackett of Nashville, TN; four grandchildren: David, Jonathan, Roland and Kim; two
great-grandchildren: Carrie and Rose and many loving nieces and nephews. She was
preceded in death by her parents, her beloved daughter, Diane Sue Hoskins, a sister and
three brothers. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 22, 2017 at 1:30PM at
Page-Theus Funeral Home, Leesburg, Florida with Pastor Gary Blanchard Officiating with
a visitation from 11:30AM till the hour of service at the funeral home. The burial will be a
private service. The family has requested donations be made to First Baptist Church of
Leesburg “Building Fund” in Shirley’s loving memory. Online condolences may be shared
