Pauline J. Reed's Obituary
Pauline Jeanne Reed, 73, Leesburg, FL went to be with the Lord on March 2, 2014 under the loving care of her family and staff at Tavares Hospice House. Mrs. Reed was born on July 30, 1940 in Springfield, Ohio to her parents Aubrey and Julia Hayes. Mrs. Reed was employed by the State of Florida Department of Children and Families in the field of social work for over 37 years. She was a member of the Leesburg Missionary Baptist Church, Leesburg, FL. She had also been involved with The Pilot Club in Sumter County and was very active with Sumter Santa serving in Sumter County. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years: William “Bill” Reed of Leesburg, FL; a son: William D. Reed II of Leesburg, FL; two daughters: Julie “Andi” (Al) Purvis of Tavares, FL and Christine “Dani” Davidson of Sanford, NC; a sister: Judy Cannon of Niceville, FL; five grandchildren: Samantha, Kimberly, Leslie, Michael and Lauren; five great-grandchildren: Kasyde, Aryiana, Adrianna, Aubrey and Ayden. She was preceded in death by her infant son David and a younger sister Wanda Ross. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Page-Theus Funeral Home, Leesburg, FL with burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Leesburg, FL. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:00 AM till the hour of service at the funeral home. Page–Theus Funeral Home and Cremation Services has been entrusted with all arrangements.
