Martha Jo Buckner's Obituary
Jo C. Buckner, 81, Leesburg, Florida went to be with the Lord on January 23, 2015 in Ocala, Florida under the loving care of her family. Mrs. Buckner was born on August 5, 1933 in Gadsden, Alabama to her parents Dr. William Jesse Campbell and Ruth (Clayton) Campbell. She and her husband Bill moved to Leesburg in 1975 from Birmingham, Alabama. A member of the First Baptist Church of Leesburg and a proud graduate of the University of Alabama “Roll-Tide-Roll”. She loved creative writing and was a published author of short stories and poems. She is survived by her loving sons: Dale Buckner of Atlantis, FL, William Buckner (Monica) of Lecanto, FL and Brian Buckner (Tammy) of Jacksonville, FL; nine grandchildren: Bethany Jo, Brittany, Allison, Brandon (Gabrielle), Ashley, Taylor, Brian Jr., Clayton and Jordan; two great-grandchildren: Connor and Aubrey. She was preceded in death by her husband A.C. “Bill” Buckner and son David Buckner. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 11:00AM at Page-Theus Funeral Home, Leesburg, FL, with a visitation to be held prior to the service from 10:00AM till the hour of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Leesburg, Florida. In Lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to Mayfield Retirement Center in Leesburg, Florida in her loving memory. Services have been entrusted to Page-Theus Funeral Home, Leesburg, FL.
