Manuel L. “Manny” Sylvia, Sr., 89, Leesburg, Florida went to be with the Lord on April 20, 2021 under the loving care of his family at his residence in Leesburg, Florida. Manny was born on March 27, 1932 in Fayal, Portugal to his parents Joseph Sylvia and Maria (Santos) Sylvia, He was a former owner of a Golf Cart Repair and Sales Business in Leesburg for many years. He and his loving wife Joyce moved to Leesburg in 1977 from Hialeah, Florida. Manny was of the Baptist faith and was a member and Deacon of the First Baptist Church of Okahumpka. He loved his family and his church family. Manny was kind, caring and very loving to all who knew him. He never met a stranger always a friend. Manny is survived by his loving wife of 49 years: Joyce Sylvia of Leesburg, FL; two sons: Manuel L. “Manny” Sylvia, Jr. of Leesburg, FL and Jonathan Sylvia of Okahumpka, FL; daughter: Carmen Quintana of Leesburg, FL; two sisters: Maria A. Sylvia of Ocala, FL and Ana A. Daniels and her husband Leslie of Boca Raton, FL; a much loved granddaughter: Maria Piadade Sylvia of Leesburg, FL and many loving nieces and nephews as well as a host of brothers and sisters in Christ. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 11:00AM at First Baptist Church of Okahumpka with burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Leesburg. A visitation will be held on Friday, April 23, 2021 from 6:00PM till 8:00PM at Page-Theus Funeral Home Chapel in Leesburg. The family has requested donations to be made to First Baptist Church of Okahumpka in Manny’s loving memory. Online condolences may be shared by visiting www.pagetheus.com.
