Lillian Mercado's Obituary
Lillian Mercado, 83, Leesburg, FL went to be with the Lord on December 6, 2014 at her residence in Leesburg, Florida surrounded by her loving family. Lillian was born on July 13, 1931 in the Bronx, New York to her parents Gregorio and Virginia Rangel. She was a homemaker and had moved to Florida 14 years ago from The Bronx, NY. She had attended New Covenant United Methodist Church in The Villages. She had volunteered with Habitat for Humanity and also for The Salvation Army. She is survived by her loving children: Gilbert Mercado of Leesburg, FL, Mary Knickerbocker (Tommy) of The Villages, FL, David Mercado (Diane) of Cincinnati, OH, Christine Mercado of Lexington Park, MD and Jennifer Seidl of Highland, NY; two sisters: Marion R. Hernandez of Wilmington, DE and Gloria Y. Rangel of Auburn, CA; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. A Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12, 2014 from 2:00PM to 4:00PM and 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Banks, Page-Theus Funeral Home, Wildwood, Florida. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 11:00AM at Banks, Page-Theus Funeral Home, Wildwood, FL. with burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Leesburg, FL. The family has requested anyone wishing to make donations in Lillian’s memory may be made to either Trinity Broadcasting Network or Helping Hands in care of New Covenant United Methodist Church.
