Donna Mcglone, Wo Singles Club President
I met Jim a few years ago when he joined the Water Oak Singles Club. He wasted little time asking our secretary, Linda out for dinner. In the months that ensued he demonstrated his Bon Vivant nature. He joined in helping decorate and plan for events, encouraging other single guys to don turkey hats or have fun and take life with a grin and a laugh.
When Linda and Jim left Singles Club to hold their commitment ceremony, we were thrilled that they both were so happy. When Jim's health changed, he just said he was having a good day and would change the subject. They were so thrilled with each other and we all loved Jim's new goutee and French beret and French accent. We'll always have Paree (sic)! In the months to come they expanded their blended families with the addition of Bella, a little rescue. Jim landscaped a special area for this tiny pup including a special track that she could race around, defying Daytona track records. Jim bought a powder blue speedster and Linda and Jim reorganized, painted and decorated their special home which provided a safe haven as medical issues invaded their existence. Jim was a rare man who could make life altering decisions with no turning back or fear of change. He lived each day well and put a life in a short 85 year life span. He is missed.
