Grace Ellen Allspach's Obituary
Grace Ellen Allspach, 89, of Leesburg passed away peacefully surrounded by family on
October 20, 2013. Grace Ellen Santella was born on April 19, 1924, in Malden, MA to
Angelo Santella and Grace Ellen Weeden.
Nothing pleased Mom more than to be with her family and she always took a keen interest
in the well-being and activities of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She
never met a stranger. She loved to read and write poetry and short stories and was always
ready to share her gift with anyone who needed a loving word to lift their spirits and
brighten their day. She will be missed by her family and friends but her poetry will live on
in our hearts forever.
Grace is survived by her sons, Charles Allspach III, Flagler Beach FL, Skip Waterman,
Midlothian VA and by daughters, Deborah Amato, Royal Palm Beach FL, Pam Eldredge,
Abderdeen SD, Karen Johnson, Virginia Beach VA and Nancy Woodall and her husband,
Jerry, Leesburg FL. She also was the proud grandparent of 17 grandchildren and 16 great
grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her husbands, Ralph Waterman and Charles
Allspach and son, Mark Allspach.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Cornerstone Hospice and Palliative
Care Foundation, 2445 Lane Park Road, Tavares, FL 32778. Page Theus Funeral Home,
Leesburg FL is handling the arrangements.
