Gerald H. Varga's Obituary
Gerald Hahan Varga, 85 went to be with the Lord on November 02, 2015 with his loving wife by his side. Gerald was born on June 18, 1930 in Chicago, IL to his parents Stephen and Mary Varga. Gerald graduated from Grover Town High School in 1950. Shortly after high school Mr. Gerald Varga enlisted into the United States Navy and served our country from July 27, 1950 to May 26, 1954. He and his wife Sharon then moved to Lady Lake, FL in 1994 from Churubusco, IN. Gerald was an active member of First Baptist Church of Lady Lake and was the head of water oaks Craft Show for over 15 years. He enjoyed playing softball for the senior league at Water Oaks, playing golf, woodworking, being actively involved in the community, and most of all spending time with his family. Those who had the honor of knowing Gerald would describe him as a kind and generous man who loved his family deeply. He is predeceased by his first wife Mona Mae Meadows who passed away in 1975. He is survived by his loving wife and soul mate of 38 years: Sharon Varga, of Lady Lake, FL; Sons: Kelly (Ramona) Nolan, of Lady Lake, FL, and Michael (Angela) Nolan, of Plymouth, MI; Daughters: Deborah (Joe) Perry, of Lady Lake, FL, Karen (Ralph) Bingham, of Churubusco, IN, and Pam (Tom) Garrigan, of Lady Lake, FL; Brother: Robert (Pauline) Varga, of Plymouth, IN; Six Grandchildren, Six Great-Grandchildren and Seven Nieces and Nephews. Gerald Hahn Varga was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed by many. Funeral service for Mr. Varga will be held on Friday November 06, 2015 at 11:30AM at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens located at 1901 CR 25-A Leesburg, FL 34748.Visitation will be held on Friday November 06, 2015 prior to the service from 10:00AM – 11:00AM at Page-Theus Funeral Home located at 914 West Main St. Leesburg, FL 34748. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Lady Lake, FL by mail to 432 Co Rd 466, Lady Lake, FL 32159.
