Billy Smith's Obituary
Billie Don Smith age 81 passed away Friday, June 17, 2016 at his home in Leesburg, Florida. Billie was born in Harlan, Kentucky and moved to the Leesburg area over 16 years ago from Gladwin, Michigan. Before his retirement he worked for over 39 years for the Chrysler Corporation as a maintenance welder. He attended the Pennbrooke Community Church and First Baptist Church of Leesburg. Billie is described by those closest to him as a “One of a kind” person who enjoyed life to the fullest. He was an exceptional Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great-Grandfather to his family. He had a passion for golf and also enjoyed playing softball and cards with friends as well spending time at the pool. He was pre-deceased by his grandson – Jason. He leaves behind his loving wife of 61 years – Betty; a son – Rick (Terrie) Smith of Madison Heights, Michigan; daughter – Brenda (Rick) Willis-White of Rockwall, Texas; brother – J. D. Smith of Hartselle, Alabama; sisters – Paula and Meda; 4 grandchildren – Jessica; Christopher; Rachael; and R. J.; great-grandchildren – Guage; Lexia; Ryan; and Raelyn
